Great Works In His Name

by on Feb.07, 2015, under Uncategorized

I am NOT a politician!! However, when I see a politician doing, or
attempting to do, something that is intended to worship or honor Christ,
its difficult not to notice!

Mike Huckabbe, former Arkansas Governor, has come up with an idea to do
just that. He recently announced that He was partnering with ALL IN .
ALL IN Founder, Michael Phillips, said, “We want to engage and mobilize the
people of God, to remind our country what authentic Christianity looks
like.”

The goal of Mr. Huckabee, and ALL IN, is to get Christians, nationwide, to
take part in a National Day of Service on Good Friday, 2015. Sounds like a
concerted effort to DO LOTS OF GOOD! And, doing good is definitely a ‘good
thing’.

This service effort is called, DO GOOD ON GOOD FRIDAY… and, if you are of a
mind to get involved, you can access their website,

http://www.livingwithpower.com/dogoodfriday  …

Mr. Huckabee is committed, and he is striving to stir up millions of others who are committed and willing to donate their time (and money) to also DO GOOD on Good Friday…

Yes, their website has a form where you can sign up and pledge to do an
act of service, as well as DONATE to the cause… As of this morning, Feb 7,
2015, they have ONE DOLLAR pledged…

Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Mr. Huckabee is eager to show his faith… Quoting James 2:18, He said..”I’ve
always been inspired by this Scripture,… when it comes to being people of
faith, we must be fully committed.” And, I’m sure he is.

Helping and doing good to others is a “GOOD THING”… Serving and giving
truly are pleasing to God.. But, I wonder… Examining the idea, and
considering the impact this effort might achieve, it seems like there
should be some sort of REWARD for those who get involved… no, not a
monetary reward, but, some sort of REWARD from God…

I mean, this is not just about ‘service’, right? It’s about
FAITH. Remember, Mr. Huckabee quoted James, 2:18, and then said…”…our
faith must be alive.. when it comes to being people of faith, we must be
fully committed…”

Mr. Huckabee wants to demonstrate his faith, and he
wants to get millions of others to demonstrate their faith as well… He
wants it to be such a huge demonstraton of faith that this whole country
will sit up and take notice… “..to remind our country what authentic
Christianity looks like…

Heb_11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he
is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The above Scripture shows clearly that it takes FAITH to please God, and
please notice, HE is a REWARDER of them that diligently seek Him.. So,
shouldn’t there be a REWARD for people who do all these good things?? DO
GOOD FRIDAY is about demonstrating FAITH.. and surely, demonstrating our
Faith will please God. What do you suppose the REWARD will be?

Here is my greatest fear… Millions and millions of dedicated people,
getting involved and giving their all…being ALL IN, … doing millions of
acts of SERVICE to others… working, helping, giving… DOING IT ALL IN
CHRIST’S NAME… yet, in the end…. BEING LOST!

You see, this ‘good idea’, of giving and serving… doing acts of kindness
and helping others, isn’t a new idea… there have always been those who
believe that these things demonstrate “..what authentic Christianity looks
like

People who do these things BELIEVE that they are Christians, and they put
forth the effort to exercise THEIR FAITH by doing these Great Works in
Christ’s Name… These ARE ‘good things’… but, are they CHRISTIAN ACTS?….
are they actually serving Christ?

Yes, God said we would know them by their fruits!

Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew Chapter 7 speaks of that, but it also speaks of this:

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Wow! Here are people who believed they belonged to Christ… they believed
they were doing things that pleased Him… they believed that they were
headed for the Kingdom.. More than likely, they had spent more than just
one day a year, DOING GOOD….

They Preached and ‘prophesised’ in His name… they went about ‘telling that
old, old story’… sharing their Gospel Message, some even believed they had
the gift of healing… they ‘cast of devils’ in His Name… AND, in His Name,
(as Christians) they did many wonderful ‘works’! They expected to be with
Christ when He returns… but, Christ didn’t Know them!

More than that, no, WORSE than that, He said, “ I NEVER knew you”…

But WHY? What happened?? They had spent their lives serving and giving…
DOING MANY WONDERFUL WORKS… striving to “demonstrate what authentic
Christianity looks like”…. And, yet, for some reason, they were not His!

Rom_8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if
so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

These people, mentioned in Matt 7:22, were BELIEVERS!! They BELIEVED they
were His, and they wanted to be His, but they were not… For some reason
they did NOT have His Spirit… How could that be?

In the Book of Acts, Chapter 5, God gives us the answer:

Act_5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

A person can be totally convinced in their own mind, that they are
Christians… they can be totally committed and excited about serving, and
giving, and doing great works of service to others, and they can believe
with all their heart that doing these things is “what authentic
Christianity looks like”… yet still, be totally DECEIVED. If they reject
the RULE of God in their lives, they can’t have that HOLY SPIRIT that sets
them apart from this evil world! And, without that Spirit, they are none
of His!

If you aren’t willing to OBEY HIM, then He is NOT ‘your LORD’!

Rev_12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

That is the goal of the devil, after all, to DECEIVE everyone and to cause
everyone to be lost! He HAS accomplished that deception!! This whole
world lies in a sea of deception! It is inundated with lies and falsehoods…
covered and buried with the total opposite of the TRUTH. And, without the
Truth, no one can be set free!!

Good News!!!! God has determined to open the minds of a FEW… He is
working with a FEW now, to share the precious Truth and to have them SHARE
that Truth with others… That Truth involves His LORDSHIP and His Coming
Kingdom!! That is the Good News of the True Gospel… He is busy revealing
what True and ‘authentic’ Christianity looks like

If God is calling you, if you are willing to lay your preconceived
ideas aside and take the time to open and read you Bibles!! If you are
willing to SUBMIT to His Way and forsake your way… then, maybe you can
begin to actually SERVE and DO the GREAT WORKS that Please Him… maybe, you
can begin to fully demonstrate your FAITH…

But, what kind of FAITH should we have? If you’d like to begin to understand about the “FAITH THAT WAS ONCE DELIVERED”… we recommend this article from our Archives…

The Faith Which Was Once Delivered
http://7times.org/newsletter/faithdelivered.shtml

If the ALL IN effort succeeds, then many will benefit ‘physically’, and
that will be ‘a good thing’… But, will those who DO these GREAT WORKS… be saved????

Doing good works IS a ‘good thing’, but, it isn’t ‘everything’!

but few are chosen…

I have an acquaintance who likes to text people on his phone, preaching Jesus and trying to share what he thinks is the Gospel message… He often speaks of leading others to Christ…

Today, he texted, “In Jesus’ hands we are put together in one accord, in unity, to bring praise to God, and show it in service to others…bring them to Jesus so they can be saved…”
I texted him back with, “No man can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him..”
**Joh_6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh_6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
He replied, “How or Who do you think He is gonna use to draw them? Me and You!”
I asked him, “Can He not do it without us?”
He replied, “Yes, He is God, He can do anything, but, He gives us the blessing of being used by God.”

I find myself at odds with this individual because I don’t believe that God is calling everyone now… only a very few, that the Bible calls “The Elect”….
So, How does God “CALL” those He wants to be in His Kingdom?

Does He expect US to go out and get them?

Can just anyone ‘come to Christ’??
After you think on that question for a while, please READ this Article from our Archives…

Born Sinners?

by on Feb.01, 2015, under Uncategorized

Saw this on the Web…

born sinner

Born Sinners?    How is that possible?

Someone once told me…

The soul along with the body is condemned from birth, without hope until we take Christ in our life.”

“Condemned from birth”?     Why?

I know that millions believe that ‘original sin’ is passed on down from father to child, because of what Adam did… But, I don’t believe that!   Why would ANYONE want to believe that???

The Bible says, (well, at least mine says) that ALL have sinned.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

To me, that is not the same thing as my father sinning and me being held accountable for it.  That, is just not fair!

NO!  God is fair! He is not that kind of a God!

Why does so much of what people are taught, and what they BELIEVE, make GOD LOOK SO BAD????

We each have a life to live and it’s hard enough to be held accountable for the mistakes WE make, let alone having to be accountable for all the sins of all our ancestors, all the way back to Adam!

I think that the ‘original sin’ doctrine is, ERROR!

What do you think?

FAITH ON MY MIND

by on Jan.23, 2015, under Uncategorized

Well, Faith has been on my mind to day… and, since this is a BLOG, I guess I’m supposed to post about what has been on my mind..

I DO have Faith! Really, I do… but, not much. Not nearly as much as I’d like to have. I’ve heard that God knows best… and truly, it is probably ‘best’at this time, for me, that I don’t have a lot of Faith.

I mean, after all… Jesus told the Disciples that IF they had ‘faith as a grain of mustard seed’…that they could command a mountain to be cast into the sea… and it would happen!!

As I said, I DO have Faith! So do you! So does everyone!! God’s Word shows that He gave every man ‘ a measure of faith’… but, apparently, that measure is not as great as the grain of mustard seed! I’m guessing that if we humans had that kind of faith, lots of real estate would be somewhere off shore, with a huge Sunami on the way…

Do you want more Faith? Why? Have you ever asked yourself that question? WHY do I want more faith? What would you DO if you had the kind of Faith that Christ was speaking of? Faith is power!! Would you use it to help others? Or, are there things you would ‘destroy’ or alter?

I’ve heard that God has a plan for our Salvation… I really hope that increased Faith is a part of that plan… I have a feeling that with the world in the shape it’s in we are gonna need it!

Have you thought about FAITH lately? What do you think on FAITH?    I’d enjoy hearing from you…

FLESH AND BONE

by on Jan.17, 2015, under Uncategorized

QUESTION ANSWERED…

Question: The resurrected Christ said clearly that He was NOT a spirit. HE even allowed His disciples to touch Him and feel His wounds. Also, He ate with them. Doesn’t all this prove that Jesus’  resurrection was not a
spiritual resurrection? And doesn’t it mean that the saints, since they
will be made like Him, will have bodies that are both material and
immortal?

Answer: There is no reason a spirit being would be unable to have a
material body. But the body, regardless of its composition, would be
completely subject to the will of its owner. At present, such is not the
case. Your consciousness depends upon the functional capacity of your
brain, which depends upon the functional capacity of your body.  Shut-off
the blood flow to the brain, and you–your consciousness–fades into
oblivion. If you were a spirit being, you would not have this problem.
Rather than be dependent upon your body, your body–whatever sort you chose
to have–would be totally subject to your will. You would be able to
dematerialize and rematerialize, move about invisibly, appear and
disappear, and appear in a different form–just as Jesus did on several
occasions. He did on one occasion seem to say that He was not a spirit
being, but a closer look at what He actually said, and the circumstances
involved, shows that He didn’t deny that He was a spirit being.

In Luke 24, Jesus appears to His disciples and says, “Peace be unto you.”
The disciples were “terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had
seen a spirit.” But Jesus responded, “Behold my hands and my feet, that it
is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as
ye see me have” (verses 36-39).  Jesus’ response was to the disciples’
mistaken belief that they were seeing a spirit–that is, an angel, or demon
perhaps (see Mat. 14:26 and Acts 12:15). To let them know that it was
really HIm, and that He was really alive and in their midst, He had them
touch His material body.

But the fact that He was able to enter the room without using the door
shows He was not restricted to the limitations of a physical body. On the
contrary, His physical body was under HIs complete control. Even it it were cut into tiny pieces and burned—if that were possible, or if He permitted it to happen–He, Jesus, would not be harmed or hindered in any way, and could, if He so desired, reconstruct a new material body in a moment.

Flesh and Bone?

Referring to Jesus AFTER His resurrection, someone once told me,

“Jesus was flesh and bone… Even after He came out of the grave.”

My view is No, –AFTER His Resurrection, He was not Flesh at all, in any
capacity, other than to have the Godly POWER to ‘manifest’ a temporary
flesh and bone body so that the disciples could SEE and Touch Him.

Like a suit of clothes, He can put it on, and take it off, at will.

That’s what I believe. What do YOU believe?

Heads Bowed, Eyes Closed…

by on Jan.12, 2015, under Uncategorized

Here’s another cute picture I found on Facebook….

headsbowedeyesclosed

Well, yeah… that’s what churches do, right? they do this during the service and I’m wondering why??    I kinda get the ‘bowed head’ thing… that ‘seems like a good idea’… in order to show reverence to God… but what about the ‘eyes closed’ part?   Does God require us to ‘close our eyes’ before we pray?   If one doesn’t close their eyes, will God be angry?

Just wondering…

NEVER TOO LATE?

by on Jan.09, 2015, under Uncategorized

NEVER TOO LATE?

A friend told me this, just the other day…

“It is never too late to say YES to Jesus… Just ask… It isn’t hard…
All you have to do is say His Name.”

Really?

Is that all we have to do… whenever we’re ready?

I mean, really,, people SAY HIS NAME all the time… even people who aren’t “Christians”…

The whole, professing “Christian” Community has been taught to think that ‘whenever you are ready‘, all you have to to is “Just ask..”

Well, that theory goes right along with that old ‘Gospel Hymn’… “Just As I Am”…

Does God really want us, ‘just as we are‘??? Really?

And, as far as never being too late??  Have you considered this Nugget?

Isa_55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

This, clearly implies, that at some point, He will no longer be ‘findable’… at some point, He will no longer be ‘near’…

Nugget #2
Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Our sins create a huge divide… they come between us and God and in our sinful state.. HE WILL NOT HEAR!

It seems clear to me that just calling out the Name of Jesus, does not, necessarily, mean that you will be heard!

More proof?

Mic 3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

Again, our sins… our ‘doings’, are roadblocks that cut off communication with God… He hates sin, and unrepentant people who are laden with their sins are NOT able to simply call out the Name of Jesus and expect Him to respond…. Of course there is hope…

Psa 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psa 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

In order to be heard, we must first ‘cleanse our way’… we do that by REJECTING our way, and seeking Him and HIS WAY! That involves our submission to His RULE in our lives… by submission to His 10 Commandments!!   His Holy, Just and Good LAW!!!

“Saying YES to Jesus” is a little more complicated than simply ‘saying His Name’… But, as I said, there is hope!

If you really do want to “SAY YES TO JESUS”, I suggest you start now, ‘cleansing your way’, seeking His way over and above your way…

Because, truth is, someday, it WILL BE TOO LATE!

Rough Year?

by on Jan.02, 2015, under Uncategorized

2014… was it a ‘good year’ or, a ‘rough year’?

Different folks have different views.. what’s yours?

Each year we humans take time to look forward to a ‘better year’… We get all excited about the ‘possibilities’, and the ‘opportunities’ that a new year could present… We get all excited about making changes and improvements in our lives…
We RESOLVE to BE better and to DO better….

I’ve celebrated the end of 2014 by picking on some of the stuff I see posted on Facebook… 🙂 Knowing me, I’ll probably continue to pick…

2014… a year of blessings for some, and ‘CURSES for others… Way to many CURSES… But WHY?

Why are there curses?? Why can’t we simply worship God and have Him bless us all??

What would it take to make 2015 a YEAR OF BLESSING??

If you’ve wondered about these things, maybe this article will help:

…………

God’s GOOD NEWS!!

by Ken Browder, Editor

In 1963 God began to call me to be one of His children. That calling began when I was a member of a Baptist church.

I didn’t look at it as a calling at that time. It was just questions about Baptist doctrine and teachings. It led to my meeting with the local preacher who finally told me “I was just nit-picking.” In Sunday School class I had been asking questions of a salvational nature and couldn’t get any answers, which led to my going to see the pastor.

He didn’t give me any answers either, just platitudes. If you want to read a more detailed explanation of these things check out the article on our web site entitled, “Easter. What about it? Is It Christian?” I don’t really want to re-hash that story again.

Needless to say, I left the “Baptist Faith” because it wasn’t filling a desire that had begun growing in my mind to learn the TRUTH as expressed in God’s Word, the Holy Bible.

I was not a “church-go’er” for quite some time after that. I can now see that God had created circumstances which led me deeper into His Word, into His Truth! (John 17:17)

Yes, I found out that God’s Word was indeed THE TRUTH. I found it had been twisted and pummeled, berated and changed into something that didn’t even resemble the truth.

And the need for truth was why I was so spiritually hungry!! I found out then, and it is more concrete now, that God says what He means, and MEANS what He says!!

Where am I leading?

When we are told something the Bible supposedly says, it behooves ALL of us to begin to ask, “Is that the truth according to God’s Word.?”

Those who have visited the Seven Times Newsletter web site and have read any of the article which I have written know I don’t mince words. I just tell it as the Bible states it. Sometimes that upsets people, but I have a job to do which is to help spread the Gospel (that means Good News) of God to this sin-sick world.

If that upsets people who refuse to believe the scriptures God has inspired to be placed in His Bible, then they need to take that up with God. That is why I quote many scriptures in the course of any article I write. My opinion doesn’t count for much, but God’s opinion counts for everything!

I believe all God’s Children here on earth (those who have been begotten with God’s Holy Spirit) are commanded to “sow the seed” of God’s GOOD NEWS (Gospel).

That is what this article is about. The problem is….there is BAD news before the Good News.

In Romans 1 we see some scriptures that create a puzzlement in some people. Let’s look at those scriptures and then I’ll talk about them.

16 ¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Paul states he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The Word gave up everything He was, and everything He had, to become a human-being (John 1:1-14) in order to bring humanity a message from God Almighty!

The message He brought is THE GOOD NEWS OF THE COMING KINGDOM OF GOD to this earth!!!

However, people will not BELIEVE what Jesus said because they have been told something else by their pastor, preacher or priest!

Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my Commandments.” (John 14:15). Pastors, preachers and priests say, “The Commandments have been done away! All you need to do now is ‘just believe’.

How many times did I hear that in the Baptist church? I was brought to the place where I had to choose between BELIEVING GOD and BELIEVING MAN. God won out that time!!

When you are told scripture says something, do you check your Bible, as the Bereans did, to see if those things are so? Or do you just accept what some MAN tells you and go merrily on your way, still DECEIVED by Satan the Devil?

Rev. 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and SATAN, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Yes, Satan has deceived the whole world, this whole society, creating confusion and turmoil about what the Bible really says. It has become so strident that people have just thrown up their hands in surrender and accepted what some MAN says the Bible says.

In Rom.1:18 above, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;”

Yes some people (especially Seminar-trained protestant preachers, and Catholic priests) hold the truth in unrighteousness! (Some teach that this means to HOLD BACK the truth, which may be correct.)

Why do I say this? Because God tells us in Psalms 119:172 that ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE RIGHTEOUSNESS!!! And yet those mentioned above tell us all those commandments were done away with by Jesus when He came to earth. They say it was one of His major jobs, along with dying for our sins. (And they don’t even believe He died! They teach that death is merely “separation from God”!)

They teach that ALL commandments were “nailed to the cross with Jesus” and now all one must do is “believe.”

And yet scripture tells us this:

Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, AND TREMBLE.

Belief is an ACTIVE word! It is closely akin to the word FAITH and faith produces fruit. Faith produces GOOD WORKS! You may read about good works in the following verses: (Mat. 5:16, Acts 9:36, Eph 2:10, 2 Tim 3:17, Titus 2:7-14, Heb. 10:24, 1 Pet 2:12)

Of course, all this begs the question, What are good works?

In 1 Pet 2:12 we learn we are supposed to conduct (old English word – conversation) ourselves in and HONEST manner in order that Jesus will be GLORIFIED when He returns. (ie. His day of visitation)

We are supposed to KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (if we love Him-John 14:15) . Of course, the 10 Commandments are only the FOUNDATIONAL commandments. God gave many others at Mount Sinai. Moses wrote them in a book and placed it in THE SIDE OF THE ARK (of the covenant) so the priesthood could read from it each Sabbath Day.

What does all this have to do with GOOD NEWS?

There would be no good news if there wasn’t BAD NEWS first.

The rebellion of mankind (by a large extent except for a few God is calling right now) is what brings on the bad news!!

Ok, let’s hear the bad news first! …. I’m glad you asked!

In the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy God placed a chapter referred to by many as the “blessings and cursings chapter.” The first part of the chapter tells us about the blessings God will grant IF we will OBEY Him!!

The rest of the chapter tells us of the CURSES which will come upon us if we DO NOT OBEY Him!

I would like to interject here that God doesn’t have to personally curse someone (although He does from time to time to keep His plan on track). He has decreed His Laws which, if broken, bring automatic curses upon those who break them. Of course, from time to time, Satan has something to do with those curses also. He is allowed by God to test and try human beings to see whether or not they are going to obey God.

God has prophesied a time of trouble for mankind the likes of which have never been seen before, and will never be seen again! This time is called “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jacob’s name was changed to Israel) of THE GREAT TRIBULATION.

Here’s The Bad News!!!

This BAD NEWS will happen just before the return of Jesus Christ to this earth, and the “Day of the Lord” begins.

Let’s read some of that:

Mat. 24:
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved (alive): but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

AND EXCEPT THOSE DAYS SHOULD BE SHORTENED, THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED (ALIVE)!!!! An occasion of TERROR for mankind the likes of which no one has seen before!!

Satan is hell-bent on destroying ALL MANKIND because of the plan God has for them! God has decreed that He is building and will continue to build a FAMILY, and He is going to do it with HUMAN BEINGS changed to Spirit Beings.

But not only that…. Spirit Beings who have been made JUST LIKE HIM! They WILL HAVE IMMORTALITY, not just eternal life!! There IS A DIFFERENCE!!

Immortality is what God and Jesus have. That immortality is SELF-SUSTAINING ETERNAL LIFE. It is exactly like God’s Life!!

As I see it, and this is my opinion, eternal life such as that which angels have must be sustained by God Himself.

We know that angels DO NOT HAVE immortal life, because God tells us so in the scriptures.

1Tim. 6:15 “Which in his (God Almighty’s) times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 “Who only hath immortality, (referring to Jesus, as opposed to all other things EXCEPT God Almighty) dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.”

Yes, immortality is something which we humans seek. It is NOT something we have right now!

Ro 2:7 “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
1Co 15:53 “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Yes! Right now we are corruptible and we are SEEKING immortality, as a member of God’s Family, for ONLY HE has immortality.

We DO NOT HAVE AN IMMORTAL ‘SOUL’, as most preachers teach. That LIE was begun when Satan told Eve in the Garden:

Gen. 3:4 “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:”

It would be good if you could read or review the article “The Seed of Satan” and “Satan’s Mirror Image” in the web site Archives in relation to this also.

There are so many things with which Satan has DECEIVED mankind. Those who are deceived don’t KNOW they are deceived, otherwise they wouldn’t be deceived, don’t you see?

As God told us in Genesis 3, Satan is the MOST SUBTIL being there is because he has developed it to a precise science. Satan is wily, and slick. He KNOWS all about us because he was there when God was planning all this, before anything physical was ever created.

AND HE USES THAT KNOWLEDGE AGAINST US with a passion that WILL NOT play out until God puts him out of the way!!

THE GOOD NEWS!!!!

However, I’ve read the END OF THE BOOK, and I found out………WE WIN!!

That is THE GOOD NEWS!! All of Satan’s power, intelligence, wiles, and subtility will not cause him to win out over us because:

o 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Yes, The Word became a human being, LIVED A SINLESS LIFE, and then DIED FOR OUR SINS.

AND YOU MUST KNOW, HE WILL NOT HAVE DIED IN VAIN!!! There will be a RESURRECTION of justified human beings to IMMORTAL LIFE in the Family of Almighty God as HIS BELOVED SONS!!

Rom. 8:
14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Yes!! THAT WE MAY BE GLORIFIED TOGETHER!!! What IS THAT GLORY which we shall receive at the resurrection?

John 17:1 “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
11 “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
20 ¶ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 ¶ Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.”

WHAT A MAGNIFICENT FUTURE FOR THOSE WHO ARE THE CALLED, CHOSEN AND FAITHFUL OF GOD!!

And please believe me as I quote these words from God’s Holy Word:

1Co 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Now, ISN’T THAT GOOD NEWS?

Tomorrow Isn’t Promised…

Tomorrow Isnt Promised

How true! But, what does it mean? It simply means that THIS physical life doesn’t last forever, and, if you have Family and Friends that you love and cherish, NOW is the time to show, and tell them!! We humans don’t last forever… our lives are a limited, temporary existence and for each of us, the end will come…

Sounds morbid, yes, but it’s the truth. And the one who created the little poster above, knew that, and wanted to encourage us all to think about that, in terms of letting our loved ones KNOW that they are, indeed, ‘loved ones’. Tell them NOW, while you can!

You see this kind of ‘reminder’ a lot at this time of year… at NEW YEARS! When the hope of another 12 months of opportunity are before us and everyone is hopeful of better and more prosperous times. Many take the plunge and RESOLVE to do better… they set themselves certain ‘RESOLUTIONS’. Goals to be achieved in the New Year.

Letting your Family and Friends KNOW that you love them, is a good way to start!!

But, really, ANYTIME is a good time to tell your Family and Friends that you love them…. not just at “NEW YEARS”…

I think we all understand the sentiment this conveys, but, as usual… I’d like to point out something that we also need to remember…

“..yesterday is gone, today’s almost over, and tomorrow isn’t promised…”

Yes, this is true, in the sense of ‘this life’… but, I know of a certain BOOK that tells a different story! This BOOK tells me that ‘TOMORROW’ IS PROMISED!!

No, not to everyone… but to a select few!

That ‘Select Few’ could be millions, or even BILLIONS… but, still… a select few!

Sadly, some will not make it.. but a multitude will!!!

Will You?

There is going to be a “TOMORROW”, and it’s PROMISE is secured!

I am looking forward to being there! I’m looking forward to living Beyond Today!

PS, you may also have that ‘certain BOOK’ in your library! It’s called the Holy Bible!! Right now, at the beginning of the year, Why not RESOLVE to blow the dust off of it, and find out more about the “Promise of Tomorrow”!
